USC International Artist Fellowship Program (IAF)

The USC Strategic Vision: Matching Deeds to Ambitions highlights the special prominence of the arts at our university, with six world-class arts schools, two museums and theVisions and Voices program, that nourish, and are nourished, by the global metropolis of Los Angeles.  It envisions “bringing the best international artists from the Pacific Rim, South Asia, and Latin America to our campus for study to form a cadre of creative leaders, whose work will influence USC, Los Angeles and the world.”  In pursuit of this vision, the International Artist Fellowship program was created in 2013 to form a world arts community that celebrates diverse perspectives, artistic exchange, and academic values.

Since its inception, the International Artist Fellowship program has welcomed 17 young artists from Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru, Russia, South Korea, and Thailand.  They have come to USC to complete their terminal arts degree with our outstanding arts faculty.

Today, I am delighted to introduce you to the 2017-2018 class of International Artist Fellows.  We had the pleasure of welcoming these exceptional young artists to USC last week.  Attached are brief sketches of our nine current artist fellows and their work.

I hope you will have a chance to meet these remarkable young artists and welcome them to Los Angeles and to the Trojan Family.
