At every twist and turn, USC faculty have stepped up and pushed forward as academic leaders with a determination and resolve to not only survive the pandemic but thrive. What you have accomplished is nothing short of extraordinary.
As vaccination increases and cases fall, USC is making a number of important changes to ensure we remain on a trajectory towards a safe and successful in-person restart this Fall.
On behalf of President Folt, I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Emily Roxworthy will be joining our community as dean of the USC School of Dramatic Arts, effective July 1, 2021.

It is my pleasure to announce that we have appointed John Brooks Slaughter, Hanna Reisler, and Berislav Zlokovic as University Professors and Natalia Molina and Alan E. Willner as Distinguished Professors.
We are very excited about the prospect of a return in the coming months to teaching and learning on campus.
With the recent decline in COVID-19 cases in the Los Angeles area, the county has officially entered the red tier of California’s reopening framework. This change enables us to accelerate our efforts to return to in-person activities.
