Fact v. Fiction: Things Could Change Under a Union

	Pay and benefits cannot change while the contract is being negotiated. If a union is voted in, USC is required to maintain the “status quo” during negotiations.
	Unions can make promises but cannot guarantee outcomes. All terms are subject to collective bargaining.
	Shared governance and academic rights could change. You may end up with more, less, or the same as you already have.
