Join us for our LMS Replacement information session with Brightspace at USC!

Dear Trojan Community,

Thank you for your continued commitment to USC’s mission of delivering teaching and learning excellence. In August 2023, we announced our intention to move away from Blackboard and move to Brightspace as USC’s primary learning management (LMS) platform in Summer 2024. Since this announcement, the program team, comprised of a partnership of the Office of the Provost, Center of Excellence in Teaching, ITS and key faculty stakeholders, have been hard at work on key activities to ensure readiness for such a change.

Throughout the Fall 2023 semester, the following progress has been made:Identified and launched our pilot group who will be using Brightspace in their Spring 2024 courses, including a total of 67 courses, representing 65 faculty and 20 schools.Partnered with CET and ITS to provide ample training opportunities to pilot faculty.Launched a champion network comprised of faculty and instructional support staff to lead the change.Following the pilot’s execution in the selected Spring 2024 courses, the program team will use lessons learned from the pilot to better assist the subsequent campus-wide adoption of Brightspace for Summer and Fall 2024.
