Making Health and Well-being an Everyday Priority

Message to USC Faculty and Staff

Dear Colleagues,

We’re writing to share new resources and a refreshed name for USC’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), formerly known as the Center for Work and Family Life (CWFL). To better reflect these new services and more closely align with its mission to empower work-life wellness, CWFL has changed its name to the USC WorkWell Center.

Every day, you do incredible and important work, research, and clinical and patient care at USC. What is equally important is your own well-being, one of USC’s Unifying Values.

To support you in this effort, the WorkWell Center, which is available to benefits-eligible faculty and staff, is making enhancements with the following innovative and customized offerings.

  • Health and Well-being Program: The Health and Well-being Program coordinates activities and events that encourage and support a healthy lifestyle – such as the current Healthy Habits EatWell webinar series. The cornerstone of the program is USC Healthy Campus , a new initiative that will incorporate health and well-being into faculty and staff’s daily work life to ensure a healthy campus for all.
  • LifeWorks for USC: Faculty and staff now have access to LifeWorks for USC – an online and app-based well-being and mental health platform – at no cost. In addition to the counselors at the WorkWell Center, LifeWorks provides up to five free counseling sessions with a variety of specialties, languages, ethnicities, and genders, as well as hundreds of digital articles. Visit LifeWorks for USC for login information.

More on the WorkWell Center’s enhanced offerings, its existing services – such as counseling, coaching, consulting, and talks and groups – and information on how to access them can be found on the center’s new website at workwell.usc.edu.

In today’s world, the lines between our work and home lives have become blurred. Therefore, we are excited to extend these new resources to help you manage your professional and personal well-being. We encourage all faculty and staff to make health and well-being an everyday priority and take advantage of these free benefits. Fight on!
