Dear Bovard College Community,
On behalf of President Kim, I am pleased to announce that Anthony Bailey has been reappointed Dean of USC Bovard College. We look forward to continuing to work with Dean Bailey, who has capably led Bovard College since its founding in 2016, and supporting his visionary leadership, not only at Bovard College, but across our campuses.
This decision followed a comprehensive review process that engaged multiple constituents in the Bovard College who provided thoughtful and productive feedback on Dean Bailey’s leadership and accomplishments. This feedback lauded him as a strategic, data-informed, accessible, and forward-thinking leader. The Bovard College community took this review as an opportunity to express gratitude for Dean Bailey’s effectiveness in identifying and implementing strategic programs that have led to the college’s growth and portfolio expansion and his effective efforts to align curriculum with workforce needs. He was also praised for his supportive leadership for all members of the community, inclusive of faculty, staff and students.
I want to thank the Bovard College dean review committee, chaired by Professor of Clinical Education Artineh Samkian of Rossier School of Education; and staffed by Jamie Jacobs, Adjunct Faculty in the online MS in Human Resource Management Program; Hicham Jaddoud, Adjunct Faculty in the online MS in Hospitality and Tourism Program and Faculty Council Chair; Mari Kong, Adjunct Faculty in the online MS in Criminal Justice Program and Past Faculty Council Chair; Karen O’Connor, Director of Curriculum and Assessment; Liz Philips, Faculty Support Project Manager; and Melinda Thomas, Director of Faculty Support and Development. The review committee compiled a thorough and balanced analysis that resulted in a glowing recommendation for reappointment.
Please join me in thanking Dean Bailey for his continued service. We are grateful for his continued dedication and leadership.
Sincerely,
Andrew T. Guzman
