USC will continue to be at the forefront of creating the next big breakthrough

A woman researching

Innovation is a fundamental pillar of the University of Southern California. Therefore, I am extremely proud to share news with you about two new programs unveiled by my office at the USC Stevens Center Innovation Summit last week.

The one-day summit that connects USC research and innovations to potential investors, introduced the Provost New Directions in Research and Scholarship and the Stevens Matching Program.  The Provost scholarship will fund interdisciplinary teams with novel proposals not previously studied or financed.  In addition, my office intends to commit up to $1.25 million in FY20 to fund up to five awards.   The Stevens Innovation Matching Program will match inventor contributions up to $100,000 per year creating a shared effort and commitment to advancing future innovation.

Please join me in celebrating these new programs that promote the principles that our institution holds dear: discovery, advancement, and innovation.  Through significant and rigorous research, USC will continue to be at the forefront of creating the next big breakthrough across all academic disciplines whether it be in the arts and social sciences, engineering, or medicine.

The deadline to apply is July 1, 2019 at 5:00pm.  Interested faculty inventors please submit your application to https://app.wizehive.com/webform/USCgrants.
