USC Behind Effort To Prevent Sexual Harassment

USC's Bovard Auditorium

I would like to share some important news with you.  Today, USC joins the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to launch an Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment.  As one of the founding universities behind this effort, we stand with 42 other higher education institutions to prevent sexual harassment.

This expansive effort contains four goals: raise awareness, elevate evidence based institutional policies, gather and apply research, and develop a standard for measuring progress in order to reduce and prevent sexual harassment in higher education.  These goals reflect USC’s ongoing mission to continue to lead our university into the future with civility and mutual respect.

I hope other universities and colleges will join us as we stand together to address this issue across our community of academia.  For more information about the action collaborative, please go to www.nationalacademies.org/sexualharassmentcollaborative.
