On behalf of President Nikias and the entire USC administration, I write to express our concern about the recent executive order (Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States) limiting immigration and entry into the United States, and how it could impact hundreds of our international students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

The tragic death of esteemed faculty member Professor Bosco Tjan is heartbreaking for our entire campus. I know our Trojan Family will respond with support for one another as we fondly remember our colleague, teacher and friend.
There has been significant deliberation and debate recently about potential changes to federal policies that might impact higher education. One specific area of heightened concern, both nationally and on our campus, involves the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) and the status of college and university students who are protected by it.
