August 29, 2024

Dear University Community,

Mindful USC Classes start soon! Click here to register now!

As we prepare for another enriching academic year at USC, The Provost’s office is pleased to introduce you to Mindful USC, a program designed to enhance our personal, academic, professional and collective well-being. Mindful USC offers a wide variety of free mindfulness-related classes, retreats and experiences to provide students, faculty and staff with invaluable tools to navigate the challenges and opportunities of university life and beyond.

Mindfulness encourages us to be fully present in each moment. By integrating mindfulness into our lives, we may be able to boost our ability to manage stress, develop resilience, increase compassion, and foster more healthful and meaningful connections. Mindful USC has offerings that can help you bring mindfulness into many aspects of your everyday life, including writing, communication, parenting, creative projects, and time in nature. There are also classes that can help you to manage stress, untangle anxiety, and deepen compassion for yourself and others.

We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to engage with mindfulness. As we embark on this journey together, we have the chance to foster a culture of compassion, resilience, insight, and collective growth. Mindfulness is not only a personal practice, but a communal endeavor that can strengthen our bonds and contribute to the flourishing of the Trojan community as a whole.  Please join us!

Classes are free, and do fill up quickly. You may sign up here.

Sincerely,
Andrew T. Guzman
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
