Interdisciplinary Teaching Grant Program

Dear Colleagues,

Please join us in congratulating our 2024-2025 awardees of the Interdisciplinary Teaching Grant Program. This unique program funds teaching grants supporting interdisciplinary curriculum development through team-teaching and other teaching models that utilize expertise across the disciplines, the arts, and the professions.

Each proposal was required to include faculty from more than one school or more than one division within Dornsife College.  Priority was given to proposals that satisfy GE requirements or serve as requirements for more than one major.

We were extremely pleased by the number of applications we received, and the enthusiasm and creativity displayed in these proposals.  Awardees were selected through a highly competitive application process, reviewed by a faculty committee, and their selection is a testament to the quality of their proposals.  We look forward to these innovative courses, and strongly encourage more faculty to consider applying next year.

  • Adam Knight Gilbert (Thornton School of Music) and Stephen Haas (Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences) – Music, Numbers, and the Cosmos

We also want to thank the following faculty reviewers who so generously gave of their time and expertise, carefully reviewing the applications and recommending proposals for funding:

  • Mike Ananny, Associate Professor for Communication and Journalism, Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism
  • Virginia Kuhn, Professor of the Practice of Cinematic Arts, School of Cinematic Arts

Sincerely,
