Dr. Lorena Martin is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Data Sciences and Operations at the University of Southern California (USC), where she combines academic rigor with real-world expertise in sports performance analytics.
Dr. Martin has held transformative leadership roles in professional sports, including serving as the Director of Sports Performance Analytics for the Los Angeles Lakers and as the Director of High Performance for a Major League Baseball team. At USC, Dr. Martin has developed and taught graduate and undergraduate classes on sports analytics, business analytics, forecasting, wearable technology, statistical computing and data visualization.
