Union Election Ballots Mailed from the NLRB

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

This past Friday, April 24, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) mailed ballots to the homes of RTPC faculty who are eligible to vote in the upcoming NLRB election. This election will provide RTPC faculty the opportunity to vote on whether or not you want the United Auto Workers to become your exclusive bargaining representative.

Below are key dates for the voting period:

  • Wednesday, May 6: Faculty who believe they are eligible to vote and did not receive a ballot by this date should immediately call the NLRB, either at the Region 31 NLRB Office: (310) 235-7351 or the NLRB’s national toll-free line: (844) 762-6572.
  • Friday, May 15: To be counted, your ballot must be received at the Region 31 NLRB Office by 5:00 P.M.
  • Monday, May 18: All ballots will be counted at the Region 31 NLRB Office at 10:00 A.M.

In addition to the voter kit provided by the NLRB, you will receive a postcard in the mail from USC which contains important information about the election. If you receive a ballot in the mail, you are eligible to vote.

Your voice matters in this important decision, so it’s important you are prepared and fully informed before casting your ballot.
