As we embark on the new calendar year, we continue to prepare for our new LMS system, Brightspace, for Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 coursework. As of today, all faculty can now access Brightspace, along with all staff who are currently using Blackboard.
You can access Brightspace by visiting brightspace.usc.edu and logging in with your USC credentials. Explore the platform and training resources by clicking on the moose icon for Brightspace Guided Training. Facilitated training can also be found on CET’s website.
Upon logging in, you will see a blank Brightspace course called a Sandbox. This blank course allows users to familiarize themselves with the platform by practicing building content to prepare for teaching.
To learn more about the Brightspace transition, our USC campus community is invited to the upcoming Brightspace at USC virtual Information Session on Jan. 30 from 12pm-1pm. Please register to learn about key topics regarding our LMS transition. This session will be recorded and available online. If you missed our last information session, the previous recording is available here.
Now is the time to plan ahead and prepare for the transition. Gaining familiarity and leveraging available resources is imperative in continued teaching and learning excellence. If you’re unable to access the Brightspace platform, please email brightspace@usc.edu to submit a platform access support request.
For more information on the program, please visit the program website. You can also send any questions about the transition to the program team by emailing lmsreplacement@usc.edu.
