Dear Faculty,
Congratulations on beginning your teaching journey in Brightspace this summer. I want to commend you all on your resilience in transitioning to USC’s new Learning Management System (LMS), Brightspace.
Let Us Know How You Are Feeling About Brightspace
As we continue our Summer term, we would greatly appreciate your participation in our mid-semester survey. This survey is designed to gather your insights and experiences with Brightspace and help us identify areas of success and opportunities for improvement. You can access the survey here. The survey feedback window is June 24 – August 9.
Blackboard Reminder – Last Day June 28
After June 28 you will be able to request Blackboard archived material. Blackboard course content from the last 3 years is now available in Brightspace. All instructor-generated Blackboard content from 2014 to Spring 2024 will be archived and available in Brightspace upon request. Submit a request from the Blackboard Archive using this ServiceNow form: Archived Course Request.
The Blackboard Blackout period is July 11-25. During this time, access to Blackboard Archive will be unavailable and archiving requests will not be processed.
If needed before June 28, please leverage this guide, created by our colleagues at Annenberg, to assist you in securely saving anything from Blackboard you may need in the future, including student data.
Enroll in and Encourage Brightspace Training
In preparation for the Fall semester, ITS and CET are offering USC Brightspace Faculty Institutes, as well as additional one hour training opportunities. Find more information on CET’s Events Calendar.
