Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to introduce the USC Student System Modernization initiative, an effort to understand and improve USC’s student-related systems and processes through updated technology and new ways of working. Over time, this work will modernize how we support core activities across the student lifecycle and strengthen the reliability, consistency, and usability of the tools that serve students, faculty, and staff.
As an early step, we’re inviting you to complete a brief survey by 4/24. It will help us understand your current experience with student-system processes, where work is most time-consuming, how reliable the information you rely on feels, and what improvements and risks we should plan for as modernization moves forward (for example, rosters and enrollment changes, permissions/prerequisite overrides, course/section updates, grade submission, etc.).
Complete the survey today to provide your input.
Your responses will be anonymous and will be used to guide planning, communications, and the support needed for future phases.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your perspective and help us ensure this effort supports the academic mission.
Sincerely,
Andrew T. Guzman
Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs
