Mark Todd

Vice Provost for Academic Operations

Mark Todd is the Vice Provost for Academic Operations. In this role he leads a shared service unit which oversees the finance and business functions, capital projects and space management, organizational reviews, and coordination of strategic planning and resource allocation for the Office of the Provost.  He also oversees USCs Military and Veterans Initiatives, a hub for coordinating programs and initiatives for student veterans, ROTC units, and military-affiliated members of the Trojan Family.

Dr. Todd also leads the University Clinical Services unit, a Peer Review Organization under the Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs, which provides governance for the delivery of clinical services within the schools of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Social Work, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy among others. He also serves on the USC University Hospital and Norris Cancer Hospital Governing Boards, and the USC Care Board.

Prior to his appointment as vice provost he served as Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs where he established the USC Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, oversaw the USC Summer High School Program, and managed the reviews of graduate programs.

Dr. Todd previously worked in the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences as Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, and prior to that as Assistant Dean for Student Services in the USC Graduate School. He has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and a Master of Health Administration from USC.
