Mark Todd

Vice Provost for Academic Operations

Mark Todd is the Vice Provost for Academic Operations. In this role he oversees the financial and business functions, capital projects and space management, organizational reviews for academic support operations, the coordination of strategic planning, and resource-allocation modeling for the Office of the Provost. He serves on the USC University Hospital and Norris Cancer Hospital Governing Boards, the USC Care Board, and he advises the provost on clinical operations and budgeting related to Keck Medicine of USC. He oversees the administration and review of USC’s online programs and provides leadership integral to creating new programs for veterans and their families. He is an administrative representative on several USC Trustee committees.

Prior to his appointment as vice provost, Dr. Todd served as Associate Vice Provost for Academic Affairs where he established an Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, oversaw the USC summer high school program, and managed the reviews of graduate programs. He also served as the provost’s liaison to the University Committee on Curriculum and the Provost’s Oversight Committee on Athletic Academic Affairs.

Dr. Todd previously worked in the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences as Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, and prior to that as Assistant Dean for Student Services in the USC Graduate School. He has a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from USC.
