Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs

Sandeep Gupta has been part of the USC community for over three decades and currently serves as Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs. A professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, he has held several leadership roles within the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, including department chair and director of the W.V.T. Rusch Undergraduate Engineering Program. His work has focused on faculty development and strengthening the quality of teaching, learning, and academic programs that support student success across the university.
Sandeep has been an active participant in faculty governance, serving on the Academic Senate executive board and as Senate President during the 2011 – 2012 academic year. He also played a central role in USC’s transition to a new learning management system, working closely with faculty and staff to guide the successful launch of Brightspace.
In his current role, he oversees Academic and Faculty Affairs, Campus Support and Intervention and USC Museums – continuing his long-standing commitment to supporting the faculty experience and strengthening the academic life of the university.
