Monique S. Allard was appointed Vice President for Student Life in April 2023. Under her leadership, the Student Life division serves as a cornerstone of USC’s commitment to holistic student development, fostering an environment where academic achievement, personal growth, and professional readiness converge. Through a portfolio of services—including career development, student leadership and engagement, residential education, recreational sports, spirit traditions, accessibility resources, and accountability frameworks—Student Life creates and facilitates environments where students can thrive both during and beyond the university experience.

With nearly three decades of experience in student support programs and services Allard has spearheaded initiatives that strengthen student culture and well-being. She currently oversees USC’s Student Success Initiative and the Wellbeing Collective and has led major enhancements such as rebuilding the student conduct process, expanding student culture and community programs, and elevating the residential college experience.

Allard began her career in student affairs at USC in 1998 and has also held leadership roles at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and California State University, Los Angeles. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from California State University, Los Angeles, and master’s and doctorate degrees in education from USC.
